from abroad

No matter how much you prepare yourself for people driving on the opposite side of the road, you still can manage to almost get runover at least twice in one day.

Maybe it was the jet lag.

It was definitely the jet lag.

Turner and I arrived at Gatwick at about 9 am, then rode the 'coach' for about an hour and half to Victoria Station. Upon arrival to Victoria Station, we still had no reservations for the night, nor any relevant currency, so our first mission was finding an atm. We found money easy enough, but finding the hostel was a different story.

Long story short, we walked about 4 miles on pretty much no sleep with our massive backpacks until we were able to post up at the Ashlee House Hostel in the afternoon and take a 4 hour nap. We saw some really cool sights though...like the changing of the guard at the Palace and Oxford Circus (which was sort of like what I imagined a mini times square to be).

Anyway, we have a pretty robust plan for tomorrow, so we're about to knock off. If someone could leave a comment about what the Federer-Murray US Open final was like that would be much appreciated, since we could not get a live television feed on the native son over here (even though he was plastered all over the streets in the papers).
